May Book Club

American _Psycho

Once again, we have rounded up some of our favourite books for the glorious month of May.

1.What you See Is What you Get – Alan Sugars Autobiography. Whether you like him or not, you can’t argue with an audacious, lucky but brilliant rise from nothing to a Lord; an entrepreneur, political advisor and media celebrity…
2.Novels by Jo Nesbo – tipped as the next Stieg Larsson, these are chilling, spectacular stuff, and anyone looking for serious, and seriously compelling, crime writing need look no further
3.The Flipside by  Adam J Jackson - 'We are inspired by this book “ The Flip Side” is based upon a simple and inspiring idea that “ every problem or obstacle in our lives however big or small contains an equivalent or greater benefit or opportunity.'
4.American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis – a psychological thriller and satirical novel. The story is told in the first person by the protagonist, serial killer and Manhattan businessman Patrick Bateman. The book's graphic violence and sexual content generated a great deal of controversy before and after publication.
5.Northern Lights Trilogy by Philip Pullman – His Dark Materials trilogy is driven by the allied forces of love and anger: by delight at what a mature human being can become, and rage at the forces that impede our progress to full experience' you’ll love them if you like Harry Potter
